# Open Excel

Object responsible for opening Microsoft Excel files

## Settings

| Run in Background      | By default, the object will open the Excel application. However, you can run it in the background by selecting this option |

## Example

To open an Excel file, you must have a pre-existing file and follow these steps:

1 - Select the "**Open Excel**" object from the "**Excel"** menu and drag it to your working area.

* First you must define a unique name for the object in the "**Object Identifier Name**" field, inform the complete directory containing the name and the extension of the file and then set a password if it is required.
* If the "**Run in Background"** option is selected, it will run in the background.
