# Extract PDF Data

Object that allows the extraction of data from a PDF document.

## Example

To perform the extraction of a PDF file, the following steps should be followed:

1 - Select the "**Set Up PDF Extraction**" object from the **"Pdf"** menu and drag it to your working area.

* First you should define a unique name for the object in the **"Object Identifier Name"** field, select the OCR provider, set the language and select the PDF file for extraction.

2 - Select the **"Extract PDF data"** object from the **"Pdf"** menu and drag it to your working area.

* Next, you must define a unique name for the object in the **"Object Identifier Name"** field, select the configuration defined in the extraction setup object, click on the "**SELECT REGION**" button to select the text and select the PDF file to extract the data.&#x20;
